Celebrating 20 years, Fashion Art Toronto Is Back this Week!

City’s largest multi-arts fashion platform reaffirms commitment to fostering community connection and elevating Canadian designers

Marking a major milestone in Canadian fashion, Fashion Art Toronto — the city’s leading multi-arts fashion platform — proudly celebrates its 20th anniversary with a month-long series of high-impact events this May. In honour of two decades championing innovative design, diversity and artistic expression, Fashion Art Toronto (FAT) will present a curated lineup of pop-up runway shows, a national Shop Canadian campaign, and the highly anticipated Spring/Summer 2025 1664 Fashion Week.

Set across iconic venues throughout the city, the anniversary programming invites fashion lovers, industry leaders and cultural tastemakers to immerse themselves in Canada’s vibrant creative landscape.

“For 20 years Fashion Art Toronto has championed bold ideas, inclusivity and unconventional beauty. From humble beginnings to becoming Canada’s leading fashion platform, our mission has always been about more than style — it’s about creating space for expression, connection and cultural transformation. This anniversary is a tribute to the artists and innovators shaping the future of Canadian fashion,” said Vanja Vasic, Founder & Executive Director, Fashion Art Toronto. “We’ve built a platform that’s open, experimental and inclusive—where everyone can be part of fashion. In doing so, we’ve helped shift the Canadian fashion landscape and inspired others to follow. That’s something we’re incredibly proud of.”

The city’s largest and longest-running fashion week — Fashion Art Toronto’s 1664 Fashion Week — returns for Spring/Summer 2025 with a four-day event at T3 Bayside (251 Queens Quay East).

Running from Thursday, May 29th through Sunday, June 1st, the influential bi-annual event will feature runway shows from 40+ Canadian designers including Mario Fugnitto, Lesley Hampton, L’Uomo Strano, NARCES, Neechi By Nature, Sagradessa, and Ali Haider.

Attendees can also explore a 20-year multi-media retrospective art installation, a massive boutique featuring 25+ local brands and artisans, a 1664 lounge and portrait studio, live entertainment from DJs, musicians, and dancers, and a glamorous red carpet for photo opportunities — and that’s just the beginning.

Tickets to attend Fashion Art Toronto’s 1664 Fashion Week — including weekend and day passes, VIP front row tickets, single show tickets, and student tickets — are now available online.

“With our 2025 theme of Community, we’re expanding the fashion calendar to deepen collaboration and amplify local voices. By uniting with our broader creative network, we’re celebrating the richness of Canadian fashion and spotlighting those reimagining its future,” Vasic added.

“Our community is the true heartbeat of Fashion Art Toronto. Over the years, we’ve seen our audience transform from spectators into active participants — showing up season after season, dressing boldly, and bringing their full selves to the event — helping shape the spirit and identity of FAT.”
