Your Guide to the A-List TIFF Experience in Toronto This September

As the Toronto International Film Festival returns this September, Toronto becomes a playground for movie lovers, industry insiders and, of course, celebrity sightings.

For those looking to experience TIFF like an A-lister, Luxury Group by Marriott Bonvoy offers a front-row seat into the action. In addition to the luxury experiences each property has to offer, guests can experience a TIFF-specific lineup, from celebrity sightings and cultural programming to elevated dining and indulgent in-room experiences.

Guests are encouraged to embrace the festival’s star-studded energy while enjoying all the perks of a luxury stay.

The Ritz-Carlton Toronto

This TIFF season, The Ritz-Carlton is the central destination to experience all things entertainment and luxury. Steps from the TIFF Lightbox in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District, the property is a major hotspot for screenings, red-carpet arrivals and discovering TIFF from an insider lens.

At The Ritz-Carlton, guests will be welcomed into an immersive festival atmosphere from the moment they arrive. Live music during opening weekend and other elevated luxury moments – including a premium bubbly experience – complete the festive atmosphere. During TIFF, EPOCH Bar & Kitchen Terrace will become one of the city’s premier late-night gathering destinations, with live DJs on weekdays and TIFF-inspired cocktails. At TOCA, guests can enjoy an elevated dining experience inspired by the glamour of festival season. Designed for guests on the move between screenings and celebrations, LANO will offer an approachable luxury experience with premium cocktails, artisanal bites and TIFF-inspired cocktails features available throughout the festival.

W Toronto

W Toronto is the epicenter for all things TIFF this September. The property will unveil W Hotels’ newest episode of Hotel Tales, supported by a lineup of programming throughout the festival. Guests can experience everything from a book signing and panel hosted by Pierce Abernathy to entertainment activations happening all week long. The property will also bring the spirit of cinema to life with a limited-time film-themed photobooth in the main lobby and specialty cocktails in the Living Room, all inspired by the film industry and Toronto’s creative scene.

Guests can also discover a special tasting menu at TONO by Michelin-starred Chef Akira Back, featuring a four-course Nikkei menu spotlighting vibrant bluefin tuna, wagyu tartare, Nikkei-style hamachi or Canadian lobster, complemented by a chef’s choice of dessert. “The Opening Scene” is also available to guests; a signature $500 cocktail experience to experience TIFF in luxury at the W Toronto.

BISHA Hotel Toronto

BISHA Hotel is once again the core of TIFF magic this September, playing host to the Deadline Portrait Studio and welcoming a steady stream of celebrity guests throughout the festival. This year, fans and passersby can catch glimpses of TIFF’s biggest movie stars as they arrive at the hotel for their exclusive portrait sessions.

Throughout the festival, the property will transform into The House of BISHA: a dazzling hub of celebrity sightings, media moments, and cinematic glamour. Guests and onlookers can enjoy a complimentary pop-up popcorn station while soaking it all in. And for the first time, exclusive to the hotel, French Made Café will be reimagined as a French speakeasy, open to hotel guests and the public alike.

The St. Regis Toronto

Celebrate TIFF in signature St. Regis style with a curated selection of exclusive experiences and indulgent specials. Guests can enjoy the luxury ‘Champagne Sabrage Ritual,’ available to one booking each day throughout the festival, complete with lavish accompaniments including Ossetra Caviar, traditional accoutrements and blinis, two glasses of Champagne and a Seafood Plateau. Also being introduced during TIFF is The Velvet Curtain: a limited-edition luxury cocktail experience centered around a pairing of The Macallan M Black with Damblat Armagnac, accented by Madagascar vanilla, cherry bark bitters, and a touch of mahogany smoke for an unforgettable finish.

For those with a sweet tooth, the limited-time King’s Cake Special features a stunning 13-layer Classic Red Velvet Cake finished with silky vanilla buttercream, available to enjoy at LOUIX LOUIS or take home to savour. Guests can also experience the TIFF Afternoon Tea, an elevated and playful take on the classic St. Regis tradition, inspired by the glamour and red-carpet spirit of the festival with a selection of unforgettable flavours.

And when it’s time to step away from the TIFF spotlight, guests can unwind with the Exclusive In-Room Spa Experience, featuring a selection of luxury treatments, including Performance Massage, Facial Therapies and Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage Massage, all delivered in the comfort and privacy of their room or suite.
