This October, the grounds of Casa Loma will once again be transformed into Legends of Horror, an immersive Halloween theatrical experience celebrating its 10th anniversary. From October 3 through to October 31, 2026, guests will wind through two kilometres of interactive sets across the iconic castle’s lower gardens and haunted underground tunnels.
Guests will wander at their own pace for an hour as the sun sets and the moon rises through a promenade theatre experience featuring theatrical interpretations of classic horror characters, themes, and décor. With jump scares and surprises at each turn, dramatic lighting, 3D imagery projections, and animatronics, the journey begins in the property’s lower gardens and winds through to Sir Henry Pellatt’s dimly lit underground tunnels. Guests then make their way to the castle’s haunted Stables, a chamber of horrors home to the freaky, fantastical Dr. Frankenstein and his cast of scary monsters and super creeps.
At the Captain Morgan Bar and Lounge, guests can refuel with Halloween-inspired cocktails such as the Franken Colada, Mai Die, Necromancer Negroni and Ogre Old Fashioned, as they continue their journey through the evening. With unparalleled views of the dramatic exterior castle projections, this is just one chapter in a complete, multi-sensory experience. Throughout Legends of Horror, guests can move through the gardens, enjoy live DJs, and soak in the energy of Casa Loma after dark. From the haunted theatrical experience to the bar’s immersive backdrop set midway through the lower gardens, every moment is designed to keep guests engaged and entertained, and goes far beyond a traditional haunted house experience.
“Legends of Horror is Toronto’s most comprehensive Halloween night-out experience, combining world-class immersive theatre, elevated food and cocktails, and live entertainment all within Casa Loma’s iconic setting,” said Nick Di Donato, president & CEO, Liberty Entertainment Group. “It’s thrilling to see the castle transform into this kind of theatrical space where every corner becomes a scene, inviting audiences to experience Casa Loma in a way they never have before.”
Tickets start at $35 and are now available at legendsofhorror.ca. VIP experiences are $150 to $200 and include admission for two people, VIP entry with line bypass, and food and beverage vouchers for two drinks and two food items (one each per person) from themed menus. Legends of Horror runs nightly October 3 through October 31, 2026. Family hours begin at 5:30 pm on select dates, with standard evening hours from 7 pm, extending to midnight on Halloween weekend.
Casa Loma is one of Toronto’s top tourist attractions and hospitality venues. Each year, over 650,000 visitors tour Casa Loma and the estate gardens. A perfect backdrop for special occasions, the venue also hosts more than 350 private events annually. The unique architecture has also made it a highly desirable location for film, television, and photo shoots. In addition, Casa Loma plays host to several annual productions, including Legends of Horror, Symphony in the Gardens, Twilight Symphony, and Soul in the City. Completed in 1914, it took three hundred men nearly three years to complete the almost 200,000-square-foot castle. Situated on five acres, it was once the largest private residence in Canada, with ninety-eight rooms designed by architect EJ Lennox, featuring secret passageways, elaborately decorated rooms with authentic period furnishings and breathtaking views of the Toronto skyline from its towers.
