Toronto’s most anticipated gala of the year is back and bigger than ever! Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the motionball Toronto Gala in support of the Special Olympics Canada Foundation returns to the iconic Liberty Grand on Friday, February 6.
The silver-anniversary celebration commemorates a quarter-century of motionball’s mission to inspire the next generation of leaders in the Special Olympics movement. It promises to be the nonprofit’s most extraordinary gala yet, combining glamour with purpose, and welcoming professional athletes, top media personalities, and, of course, the true celebrities of the night: the Special Olympics athletes! With over 2,000 anticipated guests, the night is set to boost awareness, raise funds, and celebrate inclusivity, all in support of the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.

“Twenty-five years ago, we hosted motionball’s first Toronto Gala with a simple goal: to bring people together for one epic party that celebrates and supports Special Olympics athletes,” said Paul Etherington, co-founder of motionball. “This year’s silver-anniversary gala isn’t just our biggest celebration; it’s a chance to honour how far we’ve come as a community. The night is set to be filled with great food and drink, standout performances, and a collective toast to a more inclusive Canada.”
Guests will experience unmatched entertainment with ten live music acts and DJs across three electric ballrooms with a vibe for everyone, including performances by Kardinal Offishall, Toronto Concert Orchestra, Cary Shields, DJ Clymaxx, DJ DXB, The 99s, Cella, and more! Attendees will also enjoy photo activations, a luxury silent auction with more than 100 items, an open bar featuring unparalleled cocktail experiences, and late-night bites to fuel the dance floor.
Last year, the motionball Toronto Gala raised more than $275,000 net, and since the organization’s inception in 2002, motionball has donated more than $20 million net to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation. motionball’s signature gala has revolutionized fundraising by blending philanthropy with entertainment, solidifying itself as one of Toronto’s can’t-miss events for young professionals.
