Every year, amusement parks are expected to go bigger and faster; Canada’s Wonderland is no exception. Yet somehow, season after season, the park continues to deliver. Following its record-breaking debut, AlpenFury continues to build on that momentum. As Canada’s longest, tallest, and fastest launch coaster, and the world record holder for the most inversions on a launch coaster, with nine, it has quickly become the park’s defining thrill coaster. If you are an adrenaline seeker, this ride is a must-try.
Beyond record-breaking thrills, a different kind of innovation is emerging, one rooted in nostalgia, but reimagined for today. The inverted coaster, once known as Flight Deck, returns this summer as The DareDeviler. Originally introduced as Top Gun in 1995, it has now been re-themed to reflect the spirit of early aviation within the Grande World Expo, now offering a smoother, more immersive take on a classic. In addition to the ride experience, guests can also enjoy The DareDeviler IPA, a citrus-forward brew developed in partnership with Something in the Water Brewing Co.
When you’re ready to step off the rides without losing the adrenaline, the park’s live entertainment keeps the momentum going. This season introduces new shows like Retrospect, The King’s Banquet, and Watchtower, spanning from rocking out to throwback party anthems to fire juggling and sword swallowing, each delivering its own kind of thrill.
Let’s not forget the energy it takes to spend all day at the park. This season brings an exciting mix of new food and drink experiences, including Choco Crispy Bites Funnel Cake, Donair Kabobs, and “Wonder Rush” Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage. Meanwhile, the reimagined Sweet Spot on International Street offers a fresh take on classic treats, with handcrafted sweets in a newly redesigned space.
For those looking to make the most of it all, the new season pass options make return visits even easier. The Silver Pass provides unlimited access to the park, Splash Works, and summer events through Labour Day, along with perks like in-park discounts, bring-a-friend offers, and early ride access on select days. The Gold Pass expands the experience even further, offering year-round access, including Halloween Haunt and WinterFest, as well as unlimited access to regional Six Flags parks, including Cedar Point and Darien Lake.
With the new season launching May 3rd, it’s time to experience it for yourself, from record-breaking coasters like AlpenFury to reimagined classics like The DareDeviler, live entertainment, and new food and drink offerings. It’s this mix of new additions and familiar favourites that really makes the season come together.
