Paris, France (June 9, 2025) — Tucked within the prestigious Triangle d’Or, just steps from the Champs-Élysées and Avenue Montaigne, Hôtel de Sers has reopened following an extensive renovation that reimagines Parisian luxury while honoring the property’s rich 19th-century legacy.
Part of the B Signature Hotels & Resorts collection, the storied hotel was once the private residence of Henri-Léopold Charles, Marquis de Sers. Today, it continues to reflect the grandeur of its Haussmannian roots, with carefully preserved architectural details such as the original carriage entrance, a sweeping marble staircase adorned with wrought-iron balustrades, and an elegant reception salon featuring ornate moldings and soaring ceilings.
The transformation, led by interior architect Pascal Allaman in collaboration with owners Anne and Agathe Jousse, strikes a delicate balance between past and present. Rather than overwriting history, the renovation enhances it—introducing a contemporary design language that complements the building’s inherent character.
From the moment guests enter, the hotel’s atmosphere of understated sophistication becomes apparent. Warm herringbone parquet floors in golden tones and restored wood paneling establish a tactile richness, while custom lighting accentuates the architectural features throughout. Across its 45 rooms and seven suites, a calming palette of dove grey, sand, pearl, and cream is punctuated by exotic textiles, vintage objets d’art, and brushed brass accents.
Design details evoke both intimacy and glamour: velvet headboards, fluted wall panels, and sculptural furnishings lend a subtle nod to 1930s Paris, while geometric carpets and curated wallcoverings add depth and visual rhythm. Tall windows flood each space with natural light, reinforcing the sense of serene urban retreat.
At the top of the hotel, three Signature Suites encapsulate its renewed vision. The Eiffel Suite offers uninterrupted views of the Eiffel Tower alongside a warm blend of wood and ivory tones. The Panoramic Suite features an airy, open-plan design, complete with a glass-roofed living area and sweeping views across the Paris skyline. Meanwhile, the Marquis’ Apartment channels the feel of an elegant Parisian residence, with light oak flooring, wall tapestries, and soft gold accents throughout.
Outdoor living plays a central role in the hotel’s new identity. Half of the accommodations now include private terraces, many with coveted views of the Eiffel Tower. The Eiffel Suite boasts two terraces—extending from both the living room and bathroom—while the Marquis’ Apartment opens onto a spacious terrace and secluded garden. These rare open-air spaces offer guests a tranquil escape above the city, ideal for everything from leisurely breakfasts to sunset aperitifs.
The hotel’s public spaces are equally considered. A dramatic 22-meter entrance gallery, lined with portraits of the Marquis de Sers’ lineage, leads into a softly lit lobby defined by mineral tones and calming textures. Custom graphic rugs by Géraldine Prieur connect the lobby to the restaurant and bar, creating a cohesive visual flow.
One of the standout features is the newly transformed courtyard patio. Beneath a glass canopy, the space has been redesigned as a verdant urban sanctuary, complete with citrus trees, iron trellises, and streamlined teak furnishings—a hidden oasis for quiet reflection or intimate gatherings.
Rounding out the guest experience is a new wellness area developed in partnership with French wellness brand Calma Paris. The facilities include a massage room, traditional hammam, sauna, and a fully equipped fitness studio, offering a holistic retreat within the heart of the city.
With every detail thoughtfully curated, Hôtel de Sers emerges as both a tribute to its aristocratic past and a contemporary haven for modern travelers. Room rates begin at €490 per night.
