Details announced for Fashion Art Toronto’s Fall 2023 event
Includes shows from 35+ designers, a Club Catwalk rave and retail boutique with 25 Canadian fashion and beauty brands

Toronto’s longest running multi-arts fashion week Fashion Art Toronto today announced details for its four-day Fall fashion showcase. Running Thursday, November 16 through Sunday, November 19, the event will take place at Black Creek Assembly (131 McCormack St), a 20,000 square foot industrial warehouse in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood.

With runway shows, fashion presentations, art installations, a Fashion & Beauty Boutique and The Boutique Pop-Up a curated shop highlighting black-owned brands, Fashion Art Toronto provides an immersive and inclusive fashion experience. This season will also include the first ever Club Catwalk – taking place on Friday, November 17 from 11pm until late – a fashion-inspired rave where partygoers get to dance on the runway.

Tickets to Fashion Art Toronto, including weekend and day passes, single show tickets and student tickets, and tickets to Club Catwalk, are now available online.

“We have an incredible season planned for November with Canadian designers, artists and creatives who are pushing boundaries, breaking norms and making statements with their work,” said Vanja Vasic, founder and executive director, Fashion Art Toronto.Whether you love watching contemporary fashion on the runway or contemplating mind-bending art works, shopping local designers and brands, or mingling with like-minded style-savvy Torontonians, Fashion Art Toronto offers a diverse range of stylish entertainment.’

Opening night will feature runway shows from buzzworthy Toronto brands MAYER and VANDAL, and Montreal’s Tristan Réhel, as well as a fashioninspired presentation from artist Marisa Ricci.

This season Fashion at TMU (Toronto Metropolitan University) has partnered with Fashion Art Toronto, to showcase Queer and Black, Indigenous and People of Colour (BIPOC) student work on the runway. Led by designer Mic Cartner of L’Uomo Strano, a mentor at TMU’s Fashion Zone program, the dynamic group show will take place on Sunday, November 19.

Designers and brands also presenting collections on the 200-foot runway and on the Fashion Playground presentation stage include: Brandon Kier, Dehmin Osawamick Cleland, FARDA, Fusion of Luxury, Jessica Halabi, Kendrick Tran, KEROTIX, KDJM, Kolleen Boutique, KOH Montreal, Kyana Kingbird, KYNG KEVY By SkinnyBoiX, House of Hendo, La Nouvelle Route du Coton, L.A Xandr, Lacel, Madaleine Nelson, Martianally, Meglio & Meglio MEESH, Mr. Haque, Ms. Meri Mak, Nary Aref, Nazia Rahman, Purple Heart Supply, Raccoon Guts, RT, Sandy Bottom Swimwear, Solouk, Suburban Deviant, Vveyago and Zedes.

Guests of the event will also be table to take in photography, paintings and installations from local artists including Agata Rek, Gautami Gupta, Kal Honey, Nova Chiu, Sabrine Salima Hakam and Tracey-Mae Chambers.

The event’s Fashion & Beauty Boutique is back and bigger than ever. Located in the fashion playground, the boutique will retail apparel, jewellery, accessories and beauty products from Canadian artisans and brands including Ballerism Activewear, Bambu Jewelry, BAUVIN Apparel, bead n butter, Be Company Apparel, DIFFERENT., Famluxy Enterprise Ltd. Fractal Official, Love, Calista Jewelry, Matthew Bodo, MizDragonfly, Portia J. Alight, Quartz & Canary, REPULO’S Brand, Sandy Bottom Swimwear, SARE Official, Sur Moi, THICK leave-in, Ula the Label and  Yvesigner.

This season will also boast a special Boutique Pop-Up, a luxury pop-up shop concept with a curated collection of black-owned fashion, accessories, beauty and lifestyle brands, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and entrepreneurial spirit of black brands. Guests can shop products from Desiree Lyama, Rendol Lagos, Fumi the Label and more.

Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc return as the official beer of Fashion Art Toronto, and Kanvas is back the official culinary partner, serving up gourmet bites to guests in the fashion playground. Spirit of York and Smart Water are also proud partners this season.

As part of its mission to support Toronto’s fashion community, Loop Financial is collaborating with Fashion Art Toronto this season to host a Retail Pop-up & Exhibition featuring local designers and apparel brands, that will take place on November 17th at 300 King St East.
