Western Canada’s biggest design show announces keynote speakers and new features
Interior Design Show Vancouver (IDS Vancouver), Western Canada’s largest design show, returns to Vancouver Convention Centre West, September 26-29. The show serves as the Pacific platform for all things design, including new products and furniture, world-renowned and local designers, and cutting-edge concepts from Canada and around the world.
Presented by Miele, IDS Vancouver 2024 will elevate immersive and inspiring designs, encouraging attendees to explore the ways design continues to adapt, shift and shape the world as we know it.
“IDS Vancouver celebrates and showcases the best of the design industry, and provides a forum for the creative community to connect and share ideas. We are eager to return in September with a stimulating, immersive environment, and a new exhibition layout,” says Will Sorrell, National Director at IDS Vancouver. “We are presenting new exhibitors, creative features, and a powerful lineup of keynote speakers that will inspire and delight anyone that comes to the show.”
Opening Night Party
IDS Vancouver kicks off with the opening night party on Thursday, 26 September, from 7-10pm. This fun-packed evening, with DJs from Girl on Wax, is an opportunity to connect and be seen with leading designers and creatives from Vancouver and beyond. Tickets on sale now.

IDS Vancouver Features
IDS Vancouver 2024 attendees can explore experiential installations created by the industry’s leading designers. A full list of features can be found here. Highlights include:
Future Neighbourhood
Attendees are invited to wander through the Future Neighbourhood and explore how interior design will continue to adapt and shape the way humans live. This new, immersive feature was created to inspire, delight, and stimulate conversation about good design.
Perpetua Bar
Perpetua Bar, the new main bar installation at IDS Vancouver, uses recycled materials to create an immersive gathering space for attendees. Designed by STARK, the bar is open on all sides and can be accessed from any angle, bringing people together while blurring the lines between openness and enclosure. This impressive structure will be 27 feet high, acting as a beacon across the show floor.
Studio North
Studio North is a gallery-like setting showcasing custom work and one-off or limited-edition collections collections from the highest calibre of Canadian and international designers. Work includes furniture, lighting, glass, ceramics, textiles and surface design.
Prototype
Within Studio North, attendees will find Prototype, a platform of design products not currently in production that brings new ideas and innovation to the forefront for the residential market.
The District
Attendees can take home a piece of design in The District, IDS Vancouver’s design market featuring fresh collections of home design products for consumers and industry insiders.
COLLECT
The Fine Art section, COLLECT, is a group exhibition displaying new interior collections created by contemporary artists. All featured artwork will be available for sale during the show. This feature is a partnership between IDS sister event Artist Project 2024.
